OPINION: Just like everyone else, Idaho’s Attorney General must comply with the law
Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
TRIBE: Beware offer of 'gifts'
Thursday's story "Idaho official objects to pact" missed the mark of the actual story. The author wrote, "There are currently no plans (tribal spokesman Helo Hancock) said, for payments to include the Tribe's finan…
JOBS: Labrador on correct track
I heard a great quote: "Jobs are Obama's Loch Ness Monster; you always hear about them but never get to see them, not even grainy photos."
BEARS: Grizzly questions posed
It seems that grizzly bear is getting a lot of press lately. I have some questions about all of this.
LETTERS: Better than coffee, folks
Reading the "Letters to the Editor" on Sept. 16 was really a way to start the day.
PFHS: Sponsors ignite fireworks
There will be a spectacular fireworks display before, during and after tonight's homecoming football game in Post Falls against Lakeland at 7 p.m.
TRASH: Teach kids to help out
A BIG thanks to those who clean up the trash that some people throw away along the roads and/or leave at public camp sites.
LAWSUIT: Kroc should foot bill
I have found it less than humorous to read the follow-up letters regarding the couple that has filed suit on the Kroc Center. Somehow assumptions and opinions have been made that simply are not based on the total p…
COMICS: Some go from bad to worse

KROC: Wrong target of lawsuit
"Suing the Kroc Center," how wrong is that? They have been a life-changing community partner since the first day their doors opened. They are not a big bottomless pit that should be viewed as a "meal ticket."
PLOWING: ITD plan unacceptable

LIDS: United we stood
So often today we run across elected officials that have forgotten the purpose of their position which is to represent the people in their districts. Many times these elected officials determine what unnecessary pr…
RACISM: It's not welcome here
It is unclear what exactly happened during the alleged hate crime incident leading to a felony arrest. As many others, I wasn't there, so it will be up to the "powers that be" to sort it all out. Unfortunate, thoug…
MESS: How we can all solve it
As I see it there are ways "we the people" can take a stand and demand that those in Washington do their job as our elected officials should be responsible/accountable for their actions.
INJURED: Animal just left to suffer
A co-worker of mine made a call Thursday to Animal Control because we found an injured animal in our parking lot at work. She was told by Coeur d'Alene dispatch that someone would be out to check on the animal. I r…
