TUBBS: Honored to keep it clean

| September 23, 2011 10:00 PM

I would like to extend sincere thanks and appreciation to all who participated in last Saturday's clean-up of Tubbs Hill. We had a great turn-out of eager volunteers who did a wonderful job in collecting trash and debris. The autumn-like weather added to the fun. Thank you to everyone who came out to help.

Also, I would like to thank Java on Sherman for providing us with coffee for the event.

In Sunday's article about the clean-up, there was a statement I would like to clarify. In no way was it my intent to compare our beautiful Tubbs Hill to a parking lot. It was my intention to describe the Hill as a unique park which everyone loves and uses with great enthusiasm and joy.

Tubbs Hill is treasured by all in our community, and it is a duty and privilege to keep it clean. Thanks again to the community for coming out to help!
