RACISM: It's not welcome here

| September 21, 2011 10:00 PM

It is unclear what exactly happened during the alleged hate crime incident leading to a felony arrest. As many others, I wasn't there, so it will be up to the "powers that be" to sort it all out. Unfortunate, though, for the alleged victim and for the suspect who faces being an absent parent if found guilty. However, it's very clear a strong message is being sent that RACISM IS NOT TOLERATED IN NORTH IDAHO.

As a proud American, I enjoy the freedom of having our own opinions and beliefs, and though I may disagree with others', I hold nothing against them. However, as a third generation native of North Idaho, I want my message in this case to be very clear: EITHER KEEP YOUR OPINIONS TO YOURSELF OR TAKE THEM SOMEWHERE ELSE - not in my neck of the woods.

In other words, welcome to North Idaho - leave your TROUBLES far behind.
