OPINION: Just like everyone else, Idaho’s Attorney General must comply with the law
Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
CHOPPER: Serenity's enemy
The quality of life has greatly diminished here in our beautiful area, thanks to the touring helicopter causing noise pollution constantly flying overhead the past two days. Is this the new normal where only touris…
VALUES: N. Idaho conservatism
My husband and I moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1980 from Southern California (Newport Beach). Coeur d’Alene is a gorgeous city. Had a small town feeling… U.S. 95 had two stoplights (Appleway and Hayden Avenue). The wor…
ELECTION: Consolidation alternative
I read Senator Souza’s reasoning for election consolidation in the May 18 Coeur d’Alene Press article “Dismal turnout rekindles bill talk.” With the big money, often outside money, that is spent on November electio…
RECORDS: More light needed
Hats off to the Coeur d’Alene Press and its attorney, John Magnuson, on obtaining the former school superintendent’s “consulting” contract — overcoming the school district’s bogus legal argument and stonewalling of…

Open letter to Donald Trump:

CONSERVATIVES: Feel the blade yet?

TRANSIT: Great way to go
I am surprised at the opposition to the proposed transit center in Riverstone. I can see great potential for it as an added revenue producer.
RIGHTS: Disdain for 'deviants'
Whether you’re a closet freak or some other deviant, with a lifestyle that would have the hair on even a luke-warm Christian on end, you can always trust the Human Righters to protect you.
