POT: Higher costs ahead

| May 19, 2017 1:00 AM

There’s much discussion on recreational marijuana as more and more states vote to make it legal. Can any good come from this? I think not. Why would any rational person want to smoke something that causes them to look stupid, act strange, and be obnoxious, unhealthy and spacey? Oh, I know, it’s THEIR bodies and they can choose to do whatever they please! It’s kind of like a woman’s “right to choose” — it’s HER body and she demands the right to take her baby’s life. Amazingly, both are legal but it makes no sense to me at all. Maybe I’m getting old or maybe I’m the stupid one. Let’s think a moment: Would ANY employer knowingly hire a person who smokes marijuana? If they do, how could they possibly use them anywhere to do anything? Let’s take this a little further — could marijuana usage lead to meth or cocaine or whatever else is more desirable? YEP! Now, a bit further, if nobody will hire them and their parents’ money runs out and their health deteriorates, what now?

The millions being raised by taxing marijuana will be just peanuts compared to the health care costs for those with pickled brains. You don’t believe me? Just observe a marijuana smoker on TV or anywhere else. Many are nice people but would you hire one to baby-sit your child or even your dog? Not if YOU have a brain! Folks, our nation is going to hell in a handbasket — full of weed!
