OPINION: Just like everyone else, Idaho’s Attorney General must comply with the law
Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
ABORTION: The beat goes on
Recently, I had the pleasure in church to sit behind three young couples with their babies. They were delightful to watch — as their Moms and Dads interacted with them to keep them quiet — and they did! A baby is t…
COPS: Our everyday heroes
I would like to say something: I know a lot of you would agree with me, but there are others who wouldn’t.
ADLER: The people decide
I was appalled (yet not surprised) at the liberal Coeur d’Alene Press’ deliberate omission of real front-page news on Friday morning. On Thursday morning, the release of three Americans from the communist gulags of…
ADLER: Responsibility key
Friday’s paper had a front-page headline “Free press = free country.” I would suggest it should have been “RESPONSIBLE Free press = free country.” It seems obvious to me that nearly all “reporting” has become more …
ADLER: A standing ovation
Just wanted to say how inspired I was by David Adler’s talk Thursday night. I thought it was absolutely one of the best presentations I have ever heard. And, he did such a great job of answering questions posed fro…
SIGNALS: Hand it to satire
I got a chuckle out of Mr. Tanzer’s letter rebuking Mr. Gannon’s letter about new cars not installing turn signals. Years ago, I found if writing anything with satire, someone will take it literally.

POEM: Mothers and daughters
Mother’s little girl runs to her
ATTACKS: Resist the attackers

STORY: A taco tantrum
Dear Coeur d’Alene Press: As a Coeur d’Alene native of almost 50 years I was surprised to hear that in your Cinco de Mayo write-up there was no mention of the Mexican Food Factory being a place to get tacos. I was …
ARTICLE: Key facts missing
In response to the May 7 article titled “High vaccination exemption rates at Idaho schools,” there are so many things wrong with the propaganda in this article it’s hard to know where to begin! But first, thank GOD…
FLIERS: Save your postage
I don’t remember getting so many fliers for the election for governor since I’ve lived here. The bashing going on between the candidates is just to much. Sounds like they’re all dirty crooks. It’s our duty to vote,…
SYMPHONY: Standing ovation
BRAVO to the dedicated and talented musicians of the Coeur d’Alene Symphony who presented an excellent, world-class concert last Sunday afternoon at the Kroc Center. This wonderful musical experience was conducted …
