ABORTION: The beat goes on

Recently, I had the pleasure in church to sit behind three young couples with their babies. They were delightful to watch — as their Moms and Dads interacted with them to keep them quiet — and they did! A baby is truly a miracle. God made the heavens and Earth, but I think the birth of a newborn baby is His greatest achievement — a joy beyond measure.

As I was sitting there that morning, I couldn’t help but grieve over the hundreds of thousands of babies each year who aren’t allowed to live — their little lives are snuffed out by abortion. There are many factors involved in having an abortion, but at the end of the day, it is not our choice to eliminate life at any level.

It’s inconceivable to me that a woman would choose an abortion simply “not to be inconvenienced” or to stake her claim “to do what she wishes” with her body. And to think as taxpayers, we partially fund Planned Parenthood, courtesy of liberals who insisted it stay in the congressional budget in order to allow Trump to get his defense spending. The name “Planned Parenthood” has always confused me. Don’t you need a baby to be a parent? Should be called NON-Parentood. With new technology, they can detect a heartbeat when the baby is the size of a grain of rice or smaller. Also, why are would-be-Dads so silent?

My heart goes out to the millions of women (men also) who have since realized they’ve made a tragic mistake. Remember, God forgives as we graciously continue to forgive one another!
