THEFT: It's a trick, not a treat
We had a Halloween thief visit us at 1:40 am while we were sleeping on Oct. 24. The pissant took two hanging decorations directly off our front porch.
SHRINER: Leaves strong impression
I recently met Jerry Shriner at a neighborhood event and was very impressed with his answers to a myriad of questions posed by my neighbors. We need a commissioner (District 2) with the life experiences and persona…
VOTE: Party affiliation matters
Is it an oversight that Democrat candidates Anne Nesse, Cheryl Stransky, Bruce Noble and Jerry Shriner leave their party affiliation off their literature and signs, or is it an intentional attempt to try and separa…
AIRPORT: Reason to support 2 men
I was surprised to learn that Pappy Boyington Field’s airport manager Greg Delavan was recently removed from that position for no stated reason. I know Greg personally and he is a strong advocate for the airport an…
SIMS: Stances make sense
Kathy Sims, Rep. 4th District, Seat 2 is doing her job well. So, why did she vote against Senate Bill 1352 entitled “Behavioral Health Community Crisis Centers?” First the language of the bill is problematic. For e…

TASK FORCE: What is its real agenda?
I would like to thank the City Council and the other citizens of Coeur d’Alene for passing the city of Coeur d’Alene’s Anti-Discrimination Ordinance.
POST: Can't have it both ways
Did I read this correctly? Is the Hitching Post trying to claim they are both a profit business, who could not turn away same-sex partners AND a religious corporation who could? If their faith needs to discriminate…
VOTE: Support the Democrats
The writer of a recent letter to the editor bloviated about his imagined idea of the Idaho Democratic Platform apparently without his having actually read it. Here is the abbreviated list of the values listed in th…
