POST: Can't have it both ways

| October 29, 2014 9:00 PM

Did I read this correctly? Is the Hitching Post trying to claim they are both a profit business, who could not turn away same-sex partners AND a religious corporation who could? If their faith needs to discriminate, choose to be a religious corporation.

If they want to be a for-profit business and serve everyone, do that. The fact there are distinctions made as to types of corporations it would seem to speak for itself. You are one or the other. If choosing both is legal, the legislature should close the loophole. The Hitching Post should not be allowed to discriminate in the name of religion and be a for-profit business. The law and the courts should not be turning a blind eye to this issue either. They cannot pick and choose which broken laws to enforce. They are there to protect everyone.
