OPINION: Just like everyone else, Idaho’s Attorney General must comply with the law
Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
GUNS: Don't trust Hillary
When are we going to learn? It’s going to get to the point where we are going to have to carry guns. If ISIS knew we were armed they wouldn’t be so quick to terrorize this country.
GUNS: Know definitions
Before any misguided talks of banning certain weapons you first need to understand what you are talking about as in “assault rifles.” The average person when they say assault rifle has a mental image of a military …
FATHER: To the very best
“It is not flesh and blood but the heart which makes us Fathers and Sons.”

America needs to ban military-style assault weapons, NOW.
WARMING: Do the math
I appreciate the editorial left us on Sunday (June 4) by professional engineer David E. Bruderly. He says that CO2 levels were about 320 ppmv when his grandparents were born, and they are on track to soon double (i…
ABORTION: A troubling page

DISASTER: Good news, please?
I appreciate that our city/county want to warn people of possible impending danger due to a huge tsunami that MAY occur…sometime. But it seems to me that to fill the front page of the paper day after day is a bit m…
LCHS students give thanks, advice
Andrea Partington has many things to offer to her students. From targeted sarcasm to constructive and VERY helpful critiques. As a student that she truly adores I enjoy many of these qualities. She is always willin…
DRIVER: Dead goose warning
To the dirt bag who hit a mother goose on Loffs Bay Road and Mica Bay, you’ll get yours someday. You couldn’t wait 10 seconds for the animal to move to safety. I drive this route every day and it is impossible to h…
LETTER: He nailed it
Larry Kettle’s “Connecting the dots” was great and it “hit all the nails on the heads!”
