FATHER: To the very best

| June 19, 2016 9:00 PM

“It is not flesh and blood but the heart which makes us Fathers and Sons.”

You brought me into your family from Russia in 2002 when you adopted me and called me your own son. Since then life has never been the same.

You are the compass for my aspirations and longings, guiding them to make sure I go forth in life with purpose.

Thank you for being a barrier to anything that would impede my ability to move forward.

You are the anchor that keeps me ever level when the storms of life hit and I feel that I am straying away when waves of calamity hit.

You are my comforter in times of adversity, my adviser and trainer who prepared me at an early age for the fight in life before I ever stepped into the ring. I am dearly thankful for all you have done.

I am thankful for the confidence you display when I am unsure, and I appreciate the way you project such joy in times that would otherwise demand a frown and a bad attitude.

Dear Dad, you are my hero. From the time you held my hand and walked me out of the orphanage and welcomed me into your ever strong and secure embrace, I knew I had a special father and for that I can never thank you enough.

Happy Fathers Day, Dad, and know my love for you will endure and I shall forever hold yours in my heart.
