CHARTER: Bureaucracy or bust
The Sunday article about the bureaucratic roadblocks facing Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy was very distressing. Shame on the Idaho Department of Education. With apologies to The Great Emancipator, government of the…
SCHOOLS: Safety is paramount
Norm Gissel and I rarely find anything to agree about, but I must agree with what he said in a letter Sunday. The safety of our kids is the most important part of their education.
PHOTOS: Promote safety only
Disappointing to see the picture accompanying the Thursday story about spring fishing on snow-fed runoff on local rivers. The picture of three persons and a dog on the St. Joe River near Marble Creek in a small rub…

ANTHEM: And all for one
Why do people differ over standing for the National Anthem? If you’re an American, stand to show respect for our flag and our country and the thousands of people that have given their lives to protect us. Wake up p…
