FOOD: Kindergarten delivers

The Post Falls School District had a food drive May 14-23, and Frederick Post Kindergarten won both the most amount of pounds brought in and the spirit award. The kindergarten kids brought in 2,746 pounds and the district brought in 7,000 pounds for the food bank. Our theme at Frederick Post Kindergarten was “Help Stop Hunger.” Students generated ideas on how they could help stop hunger in Post Falls along with bringing in food. They also generated ideas on stopping hunger in Idaho.

We would like to thank all of our families for their help, the students and staff. A special thank you to Mark Jones, the Post Falls Food Bank and the judges who came in to see the hard work. Last but not least, a big thank you to Denise Euell for organizing the food drive at Frederick Post. The effort will go a long ways to help our community!
