SILVERWOOD: Vet salutes you
We were in your beautiful park on Memorial Day and we had a couple of observations. First, as a veteran I wanted to thank you for the generous invitation you extended to us on Memorial weekend. That was very kind, we had a great time and probably wouldn’t have gone at my age except for that invite. We took one more run at the roller coasters and loved it. We’re very glad we went.
We were both taken by the amazing friendliness from everyone that was part of your park, from the ticket desk, security, restaurants, ride operators, everyone. The cleanliness, the dress code and rules regarding behavior! What a breath of fresh air. Having been to parks in other parts of the country, it’s great to know that such a great environment for kids is still available. That’s not the case in so many other places.
I’m old enough to remember the opening days of Disneyland and to be honest I have never experienced the level of decency you encourage and require at your park since those early days of Disneyland … truly wholesome and what a treat that was for us. So again, thank you very much! If I had kids, I’d be quite comfortable letting them go to your park. Keep up the great job!
