OPINION: Just like everyone else, Idaho’s Attorney General must comply with the law
Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
BROOKS: Just what we need
Bill Brooks, your common sense approach is so needed to make people aware of the garbage that scammers try to do, especially to seniors. Keep up the good work because it is certainly needed. Thank you.
AMERICA: Where have you gone?
United we stand. Divided we fall. Those words have been forgotten. It’s we the people, not I the Conservative or I the Liberal.
COMICS: Good cats, bad kids
I agree with Tom Stuber on Breaking Cat News. Nancy and Wallace the Brave are a waste of ink and space, as was Phoebe. As I don’t have the most recent Sunday comics, I can’t suggest which one to replace. I only rea…
KAVANAUGH: Unfit to serve
Last week’s nomination hearing was a political charade. While both parties engage in it, this one is clearly caused by the GOP.
COMICS: Ask - and receive
You asked me for my input on the comics page. How about:
BAT: Caption in poor taste
Bats are an important part of the ecosystem, whose job it is to keep the insect population down. To run a picture of the poor creature’s pitiable death and then to say “have fun!” with it was despicable and in very…
METOO: Another mother's view
To Denise Graves in regard to your letter.
CANS: The cleaner, the better
So Mr. Damiano doesn’t want Eco-Wash to touch his dirty trash cans with their equipment. The people at Eco-Wash saw a need in this community and are trying to fill it.
CANS: Lesson in leasing
The position of Coeur d’Alene Garbage regarding cleaning cans is ludicrous. I can lease a car and have it serviced or washed anywhere. Why not the same for a leased trash can?
BAT: Deserves much better
On page A7 of Saturday’s Press is a headline: Halloween’s coming, time for bats.
THANKS: Exceptional effort, kindness
We would like to share how thankful our family is for our local first responders. On the morning of Friday, Sept. 28, our husband and father, Bill Hohenstreet, experienced a serious, unexpected medical emergency fr…
KAVANAUGH: The real issue
It’s still all about abortion.
SOUZA: Return to Senate
I would encourage voters in November 2018 to vote for Mary Souza (R) for Idaho State Senate District 4. She received an A rating from the NRA. Her opponent, Cory Jane English (D), a progressive liberal, received an…
HEARING: Kavanaugh lacks credibility
I watched the hearings Thursday. I found Dr. Ford totally believable. On the other hand, I found Judge Kavanaugh to be less than believable. It seemed to me he was putting on an act. He did admit to drinking, which…
POLITICS: A loaded question
I have a question. Does one need a degree in character assassination to be a member of the Democratic Party?
