THANKS: Exceptional effort, kindness

We would like to share how thankful our family is for our local first responders. On the morning of Friday, Sept. 28, our husband and father, Bill Hohenstreet, experienced a serious, unexpected medical emergency from which he, to our great sorrow, passed away.

We would like to express our deepest appreciation to the crews from Kootenai County Fire and Rescue and Post Falls Police Department for their quick response, efficient care and valiant attempt to save his life.

These first responders not only administered CPR and other life-saving efforts, but they compassionately walked with us through those immediate grief-stricken moments. Their kindness, care, and tears will not soon be forgotten. Thank you.
