OPINION: Just like everyone else, Idaho’s Attorney General must comply with the law
Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
POLITICS: Not exactly royalty
Congress has more drama queens than Beverly Hills High School!
TREE: It's rare, but park isn't
I don’t live in Coeur d’Alene, but my friend does, and I’d love to visit and see the beauty there, including the Freedom Tree. I cannot believe the city deems it wise to remove a monument like it to build a park; b…
TRUCKS: Weighing in on heavy issue
Our local senators, Republicans John Goedde, Bob Nonini and Steve Vick, all approved Senate Bill 1117 which allows extra-heavy trucks to travel Highway 95. I will assume these will be the triple trailers, crawling …
WAGES: Can spark economic turnaround
Hardship preys on poor to middle class American workers. This isn’t news, but what is the solution? For one thing, wage increases paid to these people who faithfully show up for work, day after day will, in turn, r…
OBAMA: He wins, America loses
Once again our “community organizer in chief” has changed the tone in the country from “hope and change” to “doom and gloom.” He has succeeded in bringing Chicago style politics to the nation. Democrats in general …
SCHOOLS: By all means, protect kids
While politicians and national news media focus their sights on banning certain kinds of guns and high capacity magazines, very little is changing in regard to the safety of our children.

TREE: Keep it safe and sound
I am responding to the city of Cd’A wanting to cut down our very special FREEDOM TREE! I am VERY upset by your actions to just chop down this monumental tree! I was a sophomore at Cd’A High School when Fred McMurra…
BULLIES: Girls warn of girl bullies
Recently I attended a meeting where elementary aged girls were talking about girl on girl bullying.
BUSES: Keep system public
To Whom Our Dedicated School District Employees Concern:
POLITICS: Maybe not so radical
Apparently, expressing displeasure with election results labels people “right wing radicals.” A lot of victorious politicians say that elections have consequences and that their ideas and the implementation of thei…
POLITICS: A plan for the people
Take the politicians’ benefits away from them. And their automatic raises in wages. We the taxpayers should have the right to vote on giving them a raise.
SEQUESTER: No, cuts aren't evil
The Democrats/liberals can not think beyond “tax and spend” economics. Their guiding philosophy seems to be “All Power to the Government” and they can not understand nor sympathize with the free enterprise system.
