CURSIVE: It's the write stuff
We are students at Pathways and we think cursive is a valuable skill to learn. To begin, if we learn cursive, we will be able to read historical documents such as family letters, maps, family trees and the Constitution. Moreover, we would be able to read any text, giving us a superior education.
Students who know cursive can help translate for those who can’t read cursive. Also, our parents will be proud when we learn how to read and write cursive. Not only is it exciting to write cursive like our ancestors, but when you write in cursive, you don’t have to pick up your pencil as much as when you print so you can finish your work faster.
Finally, cursive writing feels smooth and can be calming. Our opinion is that the state legislature should make learning cursive a law.
