Cold laser taking health care to new heights!
Low level lasers are the cutting edge of healthcare. Low level laser therapy, or LLLT for short, has been used worldwide for more than 50 years. There are now more than 2,000 published studies on LLLT and amazingly, zero negative side effects have been reported. And consequently, the Erchonia laser we utilize in our office was the first laser company to get an FDA clearance on Jan. 17, 2002, through clinical trials. We know lasers are traditionally designed to cut and cauterize. These are referred to as “hot” lasers. LLLT uses a cold laser. This simply means that this category of laser does not generate heat. What it does generate is a proven and effective method for increased healing in the body.

ADVERTISING: Advertorial — Is a wound leaving you scarred?
If you read my article regularly, I have written about cold laser before. With the advancement of health care, I don’t think anything has advanced as much as laser therapy. I have been asked many times about the laser’s ability to help with wound care. Be it a burn, bruise, cut, post-operative wound care, Cesarean scars, psoriasis, scarring or diabetic wounds, we are getting amazing results with the laser. Research in the field of laser therapy on wound healing has shown that it can positively enhance and accelerate the anti-inflammatory process, collagen production and remodeling phases of wound healing. Studies show that Low-level laser therapy provided a significant decrease in the severity of the inflammatory response in the late phases of wound healing.

You or someone you know may have had Covid and are possibly still feeling the effects weeks or months later. The National Institutes of Health refers to long-term COVID-19 symptoms as PASC, which stands for post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2. People living with post-COVID syndrome are sometimes known as “long haulers.” The phrase long-hauler is used to refer to this group of people who have lingering or delayed symptoms from COVID-19.
