BOSETH: No fair hearing
I was disappointed in the Post Falls planning and zoning commission ruling on the Boseth annexation at the hearing on May 9. It is apparent that public hearings are only a required nuisance that developers and the city endure, when it is obvious their minds are made up prior to the hearings.

McEUEN: Opponents outnumber supporters
Mayor Bloem has stated in public that the recent election has changed nothing about her plan for McEuen, apparently convinced that she, the council and a select group of developers should make all the decisions for the rest of us, in spite of us. PROJECT: Density concerns abound
I attended the Hayden Canyon public hearing and was dismayed but not surprised by the partial truths and misdirection of the statements made by the developer and the city planning staff. They repeatedly mentioned that the density of the development was three houses per acre, which is calculated by dividing the number of houses to be built by the number of acres in the parcel. This is very misleading.
