Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
TYPO: Editors fallen to new low
Please tell me that the sub-headline on page A12 of Monday’s paper was a test to see who was reading it and who would respond! “Former home of NFL’s Lions, NBA’s Pistons had FALLED into disrepair.”
ILLEGALS: And now he's interested
A month ago Senator Crapo’s local office dismissed concerns of the flood of illegal aliens entering our nation across the southern border. Instead, I was advised talk radio was only interested in hyping their ratin…
COURTS: Tennis players in a pickle
I’ve always heard pickleball is a fun, social game, and one that I may be interested in after playing tennis for 40 years. So, I was glad to arrive at the new McEuen Park tennis courts last Thursday to play tennis …
BIBLE: Quotes for religious debate
According to C.R. Becker, God’s word trumps government and the laws of government. All right, then I would like to know what part of God’s word Mr. Becker has not read today.

How much more do the American people have to put up with from this incompetent President?

“A meltdown” is how Republican leaders described their own convention in Moscow this last weekend, June 12-14. “Absolutely no business was accomplished. “
CDA: Park first, then hit beach
I would approve of the handicapped-accessible beach area, but if they remove the parking area how do you suggest they have access to the beach? Are they supposed to drop the person off, then go to the parking lot o…
CAMPERS: Chalk it up to clean fun
We went to Big Hank campground on the C’dA River last month. Guess what one of their rules is? NO CHALK ON THE PAVEMENT. What are the little kids supposed to do, damage things? What does chalk do to harm anything? …
NELKE: Cheers to sports editor
I would like to compliment Press sports editor Mark Nelke on his exceptional article on Jim Hanifan in the June 15 Sunday paper. He vividly described coach Jim’s career, and asked questions that generated interesti…
