OPINION: Just like everyone else, Idaho’s Attorney General must comply with the law
Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
JESUIT: History should be factual
The writer Herndon in his April 12 letter to the editor, citing his disdain and hatred for the Catholic Church while excusing Catholics, whom he seems to like very much, seems peculiar to say the least. The problem…
BIFFY: Date with fate averted
This is for all the people out there who have lost faith.
COLUMN: A word about Wallace
My thanks to History Corner reader Ron Roizen who pointed out that in Sunday’s column about Idaho Territory Congressman William Henson Wallace, the city of Wallace was named after a different Wallace. My mistake. M…
JESUIT: Attacks are nothing new
Having just returned from Sunday Mass celebrated by a Jesuit priest from Gonzaga (a “hotbed” of Jesuit activity) I feel compelled to respond to Wilson Herndon’s letter of this same date — April 12. As a Catholic, I…
LABRADOR: An upset voter speaks
Having read Jeff Selle’s article on Congressman Labrador I feel the need to comment.
PROJECT: Preserve property rights
This letter is in response to Ronnie Warmington’s “Opinion” dated March 27. I was at the same meeting.
PHOTO: Editorial bit too hard

DIVISION: Let God bridge gaps
The two ongoing hot issues in the media continue to be sex and religion. Both are taking front stage because of the divisive politicizing of two fundamental institutions God ordained for the good of mankind. Religi…
DOGS: Bark for this park
We moved to Coeur d’Alene in September 2014. We love it here. Our neighbors told us about the Nez Perce Dog Park a few months ago. Ever since we go on a regular basis.
HOOPS: Refs robbed Wisconsin
The basketball final is history, but should not remain history as is. The disgraceful refereeing must be investigated! Duke started the game with a flagrant foul, sending a clear message that “You are involved in a…
KINDNESS: Not seeing is believing
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
HOUSING: Post Falls losing war
So now Post Falls needs smaller footprints for housing lots for more little houses on the prairie? Let’s increase the density in housing and between our ears. Good thinking.
