JESUIT: History should be factual
The writer Herndon in his April 12 letter to the editor, citing his disdain and hatred for the Catholic Church while excusing Catholics, whom he seems to like very much, seems peculiar to say the least. The problem with anti-Catholic claims is that they are just that — claims with no evidence to support them. The trickery in making a positive claim (there IS a secret Jesuit history versus there is NOT one) is that one must provide a negative one in its place. In this case, this concocted history of the Jesuits, requires a negative to refute. In other words, if one can’t prove them wrong than they (Paris and Rivera) must be right. It’s the classic “you can’t prove me wrong approach.” Herndon expects citations of other persecutors (Edmond Paris and Alberto Rivera) of Holy Mother Church to give him credibility. These men hold the same hatred as he himself adheres to, using myths and slander designed to deceive souls and lead them away from the true faith. Alberto Rivera, an apostate Priest, is a likely candidate supporting his wild claims against the Jesuits. Comic book series; Really?
St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Jesuits, at the behest of Pope Paul III, engaged in extensive missions to convert the world to the one true religion of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Roman Catholic Church. The Society of Jesus were pioneers in this propagation and defense of the faith, responsible for restoring the Church, especially during the evils of the protestant revolution. Although the Church lost many souls to the scourge of Protestantism in Europe, the Holy works of St. Ignatius and the Society of Jesus along with those of the Dominicans and the Franciscans compensated for these losses by extensive missionary work abroad. Thanks be to God that these infiltration by the Jesuits, as he (Herndon) so eloquently states, many souls have been saved by the true knowledge of Our Lord Jesus Christ through the work of the Jesuits.
As he (Herndon) states it’s time we took steps to resist evil, however, this will not be accomplished by sharing his hatred of the true Faith, but with a renewed attack against the Protestantism started by the Jesuits. The confusion between good and evil, right and wrong, have become extremely vague and confused in modern days as is evidenced by Herndon’s attachment to Paris and Rivera’s fantasies.
