OPINION: Just like everyone else, Idaho’s Attorney General must comply with the law
Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
TRUMP: Presidential persecutor
Trump claims military, police and bikers will respond if you continue to disagree with Trump. Who else will threaten you? Breitbart. Aryan Nations. Tea Party. Stormfront. National Enquirer. KKK. Conservative Contem…
GUNS: Training is critical
You are in a car accident. You or a family member has a life-threatening arterial bleed. The victim has less than 60 seconds to live before they bleed out. An untrained Good Samaritan runs up to your car and offers…
GUNS: Signs of the times
I read with interest Dr. May’s guest opinion from April 13, and why he feels we should not want school faculty to carry concealed weapons for the protection of children.
AVISTA: A powerful salute
Kudos to Avista ground crews! No matter the bitter cold and ice and snow we are in at this time of year or heat of summer, rain, thunderstorms, hail, snow or day or night, our Avista people go out and up with high …

LEVIES: A modest proposal
We’ve lived here 18-plus years seeing all these school levies pushed upon the voters! I would think if the state Legislature would consider allowing only ONE public school district per each county totaling 44 Idaho…
GUNS: Doc's opinion DOA
“Would you feel comfortable with your physician or nurse being armed as they lean over you to offer their care?” asked Dr. Mike May, a surgeon who’s armed with sharp deadly weapons when he leans over you.
LAMENT: Good ol' days gone
Polls have suggested many young people support socialism, which greatly troubles me. The question is why do they ?
