LEVIES: Little now, lot later

As an import from Seattle, I warn North Idaho residents. Bill after bill, levy after levy were approved by voters, adding to our property tax to the point our 960-square-foot house was paying more than $5,000 a year.

Be careful how you vote on bills and levies that add to your property tax a little bit at a time each year or you could end up paying $5,000 in property tax in the future. Don’t let your emotions fuel how you vote.
