OPINION: Just like everyone else, Idaho’s Attorney General must comply with the law
Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
McEUEN: One vote that will be easy
What a contrast, the No Vote on McEuen Park or a record number of people on food stamps, both front-page news. My question is when is Mayor Bloem's term up? I love the quote "a difficult decision that required the …
McEUEN: You vote your way ...
This is in regard to the idea of not letting the public vote. Ms. Mayor and fellow council persons that voted for this better find a new job because us voters will be voting you out as soon as we get the chance.
ANGRY: Writer rips attorney's office
This letter is a warning to the citizens of Kootenai County. Vehicle theft is no longer a punishable crime in your county.
McEUEN: Synergy plus compromise
The overwhelming message that was delivered from both those in support of and against a public advisory vote during the City Council meeting on Jan. 17 was that something should be done to McEuen Park, just not wha…
FORESTS: Working together is better
We the undersigned would like to see our community avoid a polarized tug of war, in how we respond to the recently released Draft Forest Plan. The conflict approach, where various interests promote their respective…
NOTICE: Instructions for our gas thief
To the thief who broke out a side vent window of an old 4-Runner (to release the gas tank cover latch so you could access and steal the gas) and who also siphoned gas from our old RV. I want to thank you for not st…
DRY PORTS: Pick your spots carefully
Recent Press coverage about how Post Falls is exploring what they refer to as "dry port districts" shows that there's considerable misunderstanding about the current and future transportation options in this area.

I am saddened that last Friday night's boys' basketball game between Coeur d'Alene High School and Post Fall High School will be remembered for poor judgment by a spirited crowd of students and inadequate adult sup…
RENT: Two faces aren't better than 1
I read the article in Saturday's Post Falls Press, "The Show Goes On," and the comment from some locals as to the show, "Rent," not being appropriate in our community because it celebrates sin.
McEUEN: Unveil 10-year-old plan
I was happy to see the decision to not put McEuen to a public vote for two reasons. The first is that not once has anyone proposed what said vote would look like. Approving any such open ended vote is dangerous at …
DOGS: Leash them in public
After reading the article "Attacked" on Jan. 13, I have decided to share my opinion that all dogs should be on a leash in public areas.
SCHOOLS: Kids must come first
In regard to your Sunday Editorial and Mr. Koler's "rant," thank you for recognizing his misplaced fear of socialism and touching on the need to help the children of our community anyway possible.
