RAISE: Governor does the unthinkable
I am writing in response to Gov. Butch Otter's raise in wages during this fiscal year.
It must be a fine feeling for him to receive an increase, considering that he and his state leaders found it necessary to take away small business corporate officers' right to unemployment insurance.
What a ridiculous thing to do, given the fact that many small corporations in Idaho are construction related and some only get 6-7 months work and the smaller corporations sometimes need this little surge of cash.
The money for Mr. Otter's raise is probably coming from the hands of big corporations and their lobbyists, because now they do not have to pay for unemployment insurance for their officers.
If according to this state's legislators unemployment is almost insolvent, how in the world can Idaho give the large corporations back that unemployment money? Probably I am not as smart as they are.
Stuck by government once again,
