OPINION: Just like everyone else, Idaho’s Attorney General must comply with the law
Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
Cd'A: Priorities don't line up
My name is Joshua Lee Jensen and today I am releasing my persona to the city of Coeur d’Alene. You can call me a lot of things but I’d like to be known as the “Digital Patriot.” As I look around this vibrant city, …
VIEWS: No right to block them
I am very concerned about the skyline and the core of Coeur d’Alene. I’m talking about the 12-story multi-purpose building that an outsider hopes to build on the corner of First Street and Lakeside. It is very crue…
PYP: Looking beyond agendas
As a parent, I feel a responsibility to teach my children to be tolerant of others’ beliefs and opinions. Developing a strong sense of self is more difficult in an age filled with false information and negative med…
NIC: Take any threat seriously
Police search for North Idaho College student who made “Columbine”-type threat — this needs to be taken seriously.

The Kootenai County Commissioners were negligent in not looking at the proposed site for Cd’A Paving until April 13 and by not taking into consideration at least a one-mile radius.
OBAMA: Lay off the lies
Beware, voters, beware! Republican mouthbreathers are prowling the Opinion pages in force. Last Sunday’s Press contained no fewer than four letters attempting to perpetuate Republican lies about President Obama tha…
OBAMA: Time to back off, boys
What’s up with these Navy guys and their presidential bashing? Telling me to wake up and that the world is going to end. It just sounds whiney and mutinous.
BIBLE: Don't confuse with politics
I grow extremely tired of the distortions I find in some of these letters. The ones I currently want to address are those from the misguided souls who claim that the Bible requires us to be charitable and therefore…
9/11: Thanks for remembering
I am pleased to know that there was a ceremony Tuesday in remembrance for those who were killed in the terrorist attacks on the twin towers in New York 11 years ago, Sept. 11, 2001.
