OPINION: Just like everyone else, Idaho’s Attorney General must comply with the law
Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
WALL: A story worth reading
With the traveling Vietnam war memorial in our area recently, I thought the short story “Heroes of the Vietnam Generation” by former Secretary of the Navy James Webb might be appropriate.
THEATER: Earns community support
The Board of Directors of the Coeur d’Alene Arts and Culture Alliance want to express our concern for and support of the Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre. It is well-known that arts organizations both locally and throu…
VET: Deserved Press attention
The Coeur d’Alene Press proudly states that they are “the community’s most trusted source of news and information.” If this is true, please explain to me why the Coeur d’Alene Press did not print one single word on…
SMOKING: Pushes health over a cliff

ZUMBA: Shake it, everybody

DISABLED: No sympathy earned
In the letter from L.C. Williams on Aug. 18, the first issue is people parking in disabled parking without a wheelchair. The signs do have a symbol of a wheelchair on them but it’s only a symbol. Many people are di…
LANDS: State oversteps bounds
Is it possible that the Idaho Department of Lands is cooking the books a bit to try and justify its desire to be a player in the commercial real estate and development business in Idaho? The IDL 2012 annual report …
STRAHORN: Road work falls short
County government is just finishing major repair jobs of Miles Avenue and Strahorn, both by the corner of Miles and Strahorn. Regretfully, they are leaving untouched one of the worst stretches of road in all of Nor…
ABORTION: Need justice for all
In recent weeks we have been treated to numerous Press articles in praise of certain individuals covering themselves in glory for their efforts to ensure that “Equality applies to EVERYONE,” “justice for ALL,” etc.…
