HOPE: Picture tells a story

| August 25, 2013 9:00 PM

I am writing in response to the Aug. 11 article about the Port of Hope and the concerned citizens in that neighborhood. I am very supportive of anyone who wants to seek sobriety. I also understand that the types of felons that come into that neighborhood are a concern of some of the citizens. However, why would anyone pose in a photo, Katrina Marsters with her baby, and talk to The Press, about the issues within the proximity of the Port of Hope and some of their clients being close to their neighborhoods and schools?

If you are concerned about people opposing your position — meaning Port of Hope and their clients — why would you expose yourself and your child to a possible risk of being on the front page of the paper? Now all the felons that come to your neighborhood know what you look like, as well as your baby.

If I was Katrina, I would be keeping a low profile, in case things are as bad as she alleges.
