To the cyclists who routinely ride on Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive: no matter what combination of alien-shaped helmet/distastefully colored spandex you wear, you are incapable of sustaining 45 mph. I know you are of the “Share the road” mentality, but there is no need to create a traffic issue when there is a bike path provided for you not 20 feet away. Please use it.

Katherine Von Hagen’s comment in her Wednesday, June 20 letter stated that people should leave their pets at home instead of bringing them downtown. That brings me to comment on how many people bring their dogs downtown for the Street Fair every year. The pavement is blistering hot on their feet. Owners seem to be oblivious of it. Yes, LEAVE YOUR DOG AT HOME.
