GROWTH: Been here, done that

The headline article in the Coeur d’Alene Press on Sept. 20 was “Rapid growth? You are here.” It talks about the 36% growth that Post Falls has undergone. The pathetically funny part is on page 3, “People are tired of big cities who want a quieter lifestyle, and retirees.”

WHAT! I’ve got news for you. The quieter lifestyle is gone from North Idaho, thanks in part to the high density, multiple housing developments, and the multitude of 3-level apartment buildings. Remember, ladies and gentlemen, Los Angeles and other cities didn’t start out the way they are. They, too, were once quieter lifestyles.
