BOOK REMOVALS: Press should publish list
It appears we could have a new task for reporters at The Press. With the change in library trustees, the public needs to keep informed about books that these people choose to move or remove from circulation. We will also need to know about how to appeal such changes.
POWER OF THE PULPIT: Don’t blame churches
It is unfortunate that we have to blame someone else when we don’t get what we want, but that’s what appears to be happening here. The recent library trustees election revealed the will of the people — the new trustees were voted in, prior trustees were voted out. That is why we have elections. We have the freedom to vote our conscience. But that doesn’t give anyone an excuse to condemn, blame or blast those who think differently. We all have reasons for how we vote, and we should all live with the outcomes.
BANDUCCI: Should ‘practice what he preaches’
Violence in the workplace is an unacceptable thing in a civilized society. That point was made abundantly clear when NIC Trustee Todd Banducci was assaulted in his office earlier this month. The quick condemnation of the attacker by our community shows we will not tolerate such activities. Trustee Banducci expressed the ongoing impact on his coworkers and family at the NIC BOT meetings on May 17 and 24.

OPINION: Too clever by halfwit
The recently released Durham Report confirms what many on the right have known since 2013 and the Lois Lerner scandal, that government agencies have become polluted with a progressive liberal political agenda and that many in the media facilitate this corruption.
