REGAN: Promoting hoaxes

In his Friday column, KCRCC Chair, Brent Regan performed his same old tired song and dance claiming people are easily manipulated by lies and propaganda, then repeating a litany of fake news he wants you to believe just because he said so. He then blatantly states, “If you repeat a lie often enough eventually someone will believe it and act.”

That’s his entire modus operandi: spreading lies until enough people believe them and act. In the case of the KCRCC, that act is to vote to put Regan’s unqualified partisan minions in positions of power in our community.

There never was CRT being taught in our K-12 schools. There never was “woke” indoctrination being pushed at NIC. There never were drag queens reading books to children at our libraries. And the obscene book scare that facilitated the election of two library district trustees who have zero experience either with libraries or public office? The books the KCRCC and CleanBooks4Kids fearmongered (over 300 books!) were never found at any of the network libraries. Not one. Nor were any of them listed in the network’s database. This manufactured outrage is the one hoax Regan failed to mention in his litany.

Regan goes on to describe a mailer, which there is no evidence ever existed, depicting Plass and Hanley as being terrorists. He conveniently leaves out the illegal mailer by KCRCC members that defamed the incumbents.

Make no mistake; when Regan says, “it’s just common sense,” he’s counting on you being stupid.
