Schell, McHugh receive military academy appointments
Mark Schell, of Athol, has received and accepted an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. Schell, in the 2017 graduating class at Timberlake High School, received congressional nominations for the academy from Sen. Jim Risch, Sen. Mike Crapo and Rep. Raul Labrador. Schell was also awarded a four-year U.S. Army ROTC scholarship to his choice of university: Gonzaga, Boise State or Arizona State as well as the Gonzaga Trustee Scholarship ($80,000 over four years). Schell served as Associated Student Body president this past year at Timberlake.
