TRADE: Need to close gap

The question is “What do we make in the USA for the USA”? It was very disconcerting to read last week that the largest container ship in the world, at over 1,000 feet long, arrived in the Port of Long Beach, Calif., with 18,000 containers onboard.

CONCERT: Proud and teary-eyed

I am a grandmother of two Prairie View Elementary students. I attended a Veterans Day concert at Prairie View in Post Falls on Nov. 12 and I could not hold back the tears. I have never been so impressed with what and how the students presented their songs about the USA and all branches of the military, including saluting and having the veterans (and those currently serving) who attended stand while they sang their specific military branch song.

We then had the most powerful economy and military that any one nation in modern times ever had.
