A different path for all of Idaho
I love Idaho. Idaho has great people and incredible resources. I am a native of this state and have lived here my entire life. My family has been here since statehood. I grew up on a family farm and was educated in Idaho schools and universities. My adult life has been spent raising a family, working in the private sector, and traveling all over the world for Idaho-based companies. I currently serve as an Idaho state senator. Now I am running for governor.

Presidential politics play bigger in Nevada than Idaho
As an Idahoan who has lived most of my 66 years here, I can offer plenty of testimony on what there is to love about the Gem State. But it’s a pretty depressing place during presidential election years.

7 practical ways for small businesses to attract and keep employees
With Gem State unemployment well under 3%, and in some counties under 2%, finding and keeping employees is a real challenge. In a recent address to the business community, Gov. Little spoke of the urgent need for workforce housing, but for many small businesses struggling with labor shortages that’s a long-term solution for which they can’t wait.

OPINION: Moon’s GOP dances to the tune of the Idaho Freedom Foundation
Dorothy Moon’s branch of the Republican Party is so entwined with the inaptly named Idaho Freedom Foundation (IFF) that it is hard to know who is calling the shots. Both are extremely far to the right. Both have sought to divide Idahoans by stoking fear and outrage over fake culture war issues. Neither has shown much interest in working on actual problems facing the state, such as water policy, adequate funding for pre-K through higher education, property taxes, infrastructure and important social programs. The IFF has established a strong grip over many GOP legislators since it came on the scene in 2009. The closing of the GOP primary in 2012 supercharged its efforts to populate the Legislature with extremists and control their votes.
OPINION: Launch grants: Game changer or money pit?
As a native Idahoan, I can speak with some authority about the Gem State being a great place to live, raise a family and play.
