WAGE: Minimum just isn't enough
I think that the cost of day care is way too much and over priced just for part-time hours. Especially if you’re a single mother and you are a full-time student. Plus, having a job and only making $7.50 an hour. That’s not very much for a single mother who still is going to school and lives at home. I think that if you’re a single mother who is still in school and works, there should be some type of assistance. And the fact that minimum wage is low, doesn’t help me. The rising cost of day care limits us single moms who only make minimum wage. I think that Idaho should consider raising minimum wage to help with all the raising costs.
Is it worth it?
Believe it or not, this is one of the most frequent questions we get in our day-to-day work as wine professionals. As most wine shops do, we have bottles from under $10 all the way up to prices we don't talk about much; but let's just say they have both a comma and a decimal point in the price. That is the nature of the wine business, there is something made for every palate preference and every budget requirement.
