Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Della Mae Twidt, 82, of Pinehurst, passed away April 16, 2013, at the Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene. She was born July 15, 1930, in Thompson Falls, Mont. Della was the daughter of Alton and Margarette (Soule) Cummings.

Nicholas Newby, 20

Spc. Nicholas "Nick" W. Newby, of Coeur d'Alene, was killed in action in Baghdad, Iraq, on July 7, 2011. He was 20 years old.

Maurine Abbott, 76

After 20 years living with cancer, she is finally at rest and pain free. Maurine died at the Hospice House in Hayden on Jan. 24, 2012. Born in Hailey to Maurine and Myron Schafer on March 2, 1935.

Jerline 'Jeri' Gross, 90

Jerline “Jeri” Gross was born in Tifton, Ga., on March 18, 1926, to Ernest and Bertha Croft. She lived in Raymond, Wash., for many years, moving to Battle Ground, Wash., in 1963 and Hayden, Idaho, in 2000. She entered Heaven’s gates on Oct. 20, 2016.
