Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
INSURANCE: Why are you surprised?
I find it most interesting that the Republicans who have tried to eliminate insurance for 40 million Americans who will be covered by the Affordable Care Act are now so upset that about two million Americans who ma…
LIBERALS: Take that, progressives
Hearty congratulations and a standing ovation lasting at least 20 minutes to Doug Miller for his excellent Nov. 20, 2013, “My Turn” column. He has stated what I’ve been trying to say (in smaller increments) for the…

THEATRE: A star is borne away
Coeur d’Alene is losing a luminary. With sadness, we say goodbye to Roger Welch, former Artistic Director of Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre as CST reinvents itself at the Salvation Army Kroc Center.
GAS: Good news travels fast
I heard of a need in Coeur d’Alene, (in your newspaper) a person needed full service at a gas station specifically for aged and handicapped customers.
TARZAN: Cheers to super production
I recently attended “TARZAN” at the Kroc Center, produced by CYT-North Idaho (Christian Youth Theatre). This production was absolutely amazing. This was the 4th CYT production I have attended, and they just keep ge…
