Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
ENTITLED: Rudeness is killing our country
So the entitled generation is entitled to be as rude as they want. They can do whatever they like, be as loud as they can be, doesn’t matter what time of day or night. A party every night? Sure.
MILLIE: A kind word for cops
I recently lost my keys with car, house, mailbox keys on the chain. I had accidentally left them in my mailbox. Several people saw them hanging from the box. I was beside myself, looking at more than $200 to replac…
FORESTS: A case for management
Bonnie Bogart-Brown’s July 28 My Turn [When Human Management Isn’t Such a Good Thing], reveals a troubling lack of understanding for Idaho’s beautiful forests. She laments “management,” by which she means “excessiv…
RULINGS: Something seems to be off here
News flash: Federal judge rules Idaho’s anti-dairy spying law violates animal rights activists’ First Amendment rights to expose cruelty to dairy cows. Meanwhile, a federal judge in San Francisco has extended a res…
COLUMN: Rating isn't favorable

CHAMBER: Not highest priority
Can someone help me understand why the Cd’A Chamber of Commerce needs to fundraise for themselves? Don’t they charge membership dues? Couldn’t they find a less expensive location for their building?
FESTIVAL: You can't beat Sandpoint
A rewarding part of community living is both searching for and discovering the hidden treasures that exist in any area.
RIGHTS: Protect all citizens equally
It was reported in the Friday edition of the Coeur d’Alene Press that I spoke at the Kootenai County Reagan Republican luncheon. That is true. However, it was also reported that my lecture was a call for the repeal…
SCHOOLS: Reduce districts, save money
Idaho has 44 counties but 115 public school districts in a state with a population just over 1.5 million. There should be only one school district per county. I imagine that may create better distribution of state …
