CHAMBER: Not highest priority

Can someone help me understand why the Cd’A Chamber of Commerce needs to fundraise for themselves? Don’t they charge membership dues? Couldn’t they find a less expensive location for their building?

There are so many other worthwhile community service agencies that could benefit from $100,000. I’m having a hard time understanding how a business advocacy organization lacks the ability to support themselves and it saddens me to know that $100,000 is going to the Chamber and not Hospice of North Idaho, the United Way, or the Boys and Girls Club, to name a few.
