OPINION: Just like everyone else, Idaho’s Attorney General must comply with the law
Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
ADLER: Something to remember
Respectfully, Mr. Adler seemingly leaves out the fact that our civil liberties defined in the Bill of Rights of the U.S. Constitution clearly state that they are “inalienable” natural rights. Meaning, these are rig…
CHINA: Expert shares insights
The excellent letter from Bob Larue provides a good historical context to China and biological weapons.
MASKS: Consideration appreciated
In response to K. Johnson of Rathdrum, according to the CDC and Panhandle Health, MY wearing a mask protects YOU. YOU wearing a mask protects ME. My wearing a mask doesn’t protect me from you, unless it is one with…
TRIBUTE: Don’t forget Cd’A
The Press has devoted pages and pictures of Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls and not one mention of Coeur d’Alene owned cemeteries — Forest and Riverview.
VIRUS: Remaining vigilant
Social distancing, sanitation and masks are more crucial as we open up than during restrictive Stage 1. People in stores during Stage 1 had likely been in close contact only with their family. But in later phases, …
REBUTTAL: Consider big picture
Regarding Stephen Towles’ letter last Friday, I would encourage you to not place views that the editor otherwise does not hold based off a one line statement.
RICARDO’S: Facing permit woes

FIREWORKS: Death of independence
Friday’s (May 29) front page of The Press “Parade yes; Fireworks, no.”
CRIME: Unity over statistics
I find it appalling that a person can take a few numbers and marginalize an issue simply because they don’t understand the “big picture.” We are facing hard times in this country and Black Americans have a right to…
LETTER: Wrong question — and answers
A letter to the editor asked the insane question of “how did black men earn the reputation they have?” in a way that insinuates the racism black people face is somehow their own fault. It ignores the fact that Amer…
JULY 4: Not Chamber’s call
Hey! Who ever said that the Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce has control of what goes on in Coeur d’Alene? Or surrounding communities? These are tough times for everybody, not just Coeur d’Alene.
BIDEN: Lock him up
A scandal 100 times as great and corrupt as Watergate — and hardly a mention of it by mainstream media outlets. Yeah I’m talking about the unmasking of General Flynn.
