DEMOCRATS: Show their dishonesty
Darn, Fred Meier wrote the letter I have been intending to write, (Why I’m not a Democrat — March 25 Press) although he probably did a better job than I would have done. I would like to add two examples to illustra…
GREY WOLF: May be only animal left
I am writing a letter to the editor concerning my thoughts on the grey wolf population in the Idaho panhandle.
SENIORS: Don't just deposit them
This is an open letter to all the senior care places, especially those with buses. Last Monday was senior day at the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort. In the evening hours my wife and I noticed an influx of senior peopl…
WOLVES: Better alternative to death

The Idaho House of Representatives will be considering a bill (SB1387) which forces women to have an ultrasound image of the fetus she is carrying. There are all sorts of arguments about invasion of the woman’s bod…
PROSECUTOR: A refreshing voice
How refreshing, a candidate who wasn’t craving an elected office, but sees it as a “civic duty” to run. My guess is that winning the office of Kootenai County Prosecuting Attorney will not yield Donald Gary a pay r…
BAILOUTS: Not OK per Constitution
Article 1, Section 9 of the U.S. Constitution states: “No money shall be withdrawn from the treasury, but in consequence of appropriations made by law.” By law means that taxpayer funds deposited in the U.S. Treasu…
RADICALS: Those who dictate rights
OK, I admit to reading neither the column by Dr. StormoGipson or by Stephanie Murphy, but who needs to? The response letters March 21 make it pretty easy to figure out.
