DEMOCRATS: Show their dishonesty
Darn, Fred Meier wrote the letter I have been intending to write, (Why I’m not a Democrat — March 25 Press) although he probably did a better job than I would have done. I would like to add two examples to illustrate the complete lack of honesty and integrity that has overtaken the Democratic Party. The Republican politicians are far from perfect but they are not in the same class with the Democrats.
I received a letter from the Democratic National Committee asking me to join the Party and make a donation. As an encouraging fact to try and sway my decision as a senior citizen, my support would help them fight the “Republican effort to ABOLISH Medicare.” To the best of my knowledge the Republicans have never proposed abolishing Medicare — reforming and improving to cut down on fraud and wasteful spending yes; but not abolishing it. This is nothing more than a deceitful effort by the Democrats to frighten seniors into joining and supporting the Democrats and is a clear example of their dishonesty.
Add that to the administrations’ suit in Texas to overturn the requirement for a photo ID in order to vote so they can more easily steal an election and you have a clear and sad revelation of the integrity of the party.
