OPINION: Just like everyone else, Idaho’s Attorney General must comply with the law
Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
OBAMA: Movie not to be missed
To all those on the fence about the upcoming presidential election and the candidates:
ATHEISTS: Their right is U.S. might
In response to the buzz over the atheist billboards, as a certain philosopher once stated, “I may not agree with what you say, but I will fight to the death to preserve your right to say it.”
ATHEISTS: Abide by Constitution
I try to read the opinions of others in the “Reader’s Write” section with an open mind. Every once in a while an opinion comes along that I must speak to.
Cd'A: Is bigger really better?
Coeur d’Alene Idaho is, has been, and is going to be a very special place to live. Nestled between the lakes, plain and mountains, it is beautiful. From Hayden to Tubbs Hill, from Post Falls to Lake Fernan and alon…
Coeur d'Alene RAISES: Idaho state of disparity
I am a FORMER Idaho Department of Labor employee (state employee) working for the state six years. Reading the paper about raises for Kootenai County employees at 3 percent, and Coeur d’Alene City employees 2 perce…
WOLVES: Rally misses the mark
In answer to the letter written in the Opinion section of August 28, the Wolves Belong Rally is so far off base I can’t believe the nerve of the wolf lovers.
SEA: Where students learn

GOP: Denying women's rights
And history repeats itself again, and again and again.
SCHOOL: Short end of the stick

WASTE: Answer is recycling
It’s interesting that the Kootenai County Solid Waste Department is seeking additional acreage for future waste disposal. I moved here from a state that promoted residential recycling by providing containers for re…
RALLY: Ode to elk and deer
Besides devastating our elk herds, killing livestock and now limiting our hunting seasons because of the shortage of animals, what has the wolf population done to be “honored?” Give me a break.
CYCLISTS: Here are dos, don'ts
During the summer there were a number of letters that berated the bicyclists who were riding on Lakeshore Drive, some with the statement “there’s a bike path, ride on it.” I’d like to clear up some misconceptions r…
REFORM: Just say no to status quo
The status quo is failing. Idaho education needs change, and Idahoans need the facts before they vote on whether to reject the idea of change.
ATHEISTS: Shine light on believers
Allowing billboards which promote atheism in a Christian Nation is just plain wrong! Instead, we should have billboards proclaiming our belief in the one and only true God.
