WOLVES: Rally misses the mark

| September 5, 2012 9:15 PM

In answer to the letter written in the Opinion section of August 28, the Wolves Belong Rally is so far off base I can’t believe the nerve of the wolf lovers.

To honor the killer wolves is unbelievable. Why not honor the thousands of wolf prey animals? The baby elk and deer pulled down and ripped apart along with their new mothers. The ranchers’ cows and sheep that suffered the same fate. Let’s tell it like it is!

Not a pretty sight seeing animals killed and left to rot.

Idaho and Montana did not want wolves. For 10 years the game departments had to stand by and had no way to manage the wolf populations.

It exploded and now is threatening the very existence of the game herds in both states.

The wolves are here to stay. The numbers must be reduced. The only way to legally do this is by hunting and trapping.

Wolves will never be eliminated from our states. If Debra Warrens in Iowa wants some wolves we would be glad to send her a thousand of them. Let’s mourn the dead game animals and livestock, not the killer wolves.
