RALLY: Tale of mice and men

| September 2, 2012 9:00 PM

First, I would like to thank Debra Warren for sponsoring the vigil for the wolves. It warmed my heart to know that there are others who share my views. Although I am not particularly enamored with the wolf; especially after that Red Riding Hood thing. I mean really, can’t a girl just walk to Grandma’s?

I, however, do have a strong and abiding love for the mouse. In keeping with this feeling I will be sponsoring a vigil for the thousands of mice killed in Idaho this year. This wanton massacre has to stop!

On day one, we will stand in silence to honor those mice who have died at the hands of the many depraved killers.

On day two I would like all participants to go to a store of their choice and buy as many mouse traps as they can afford. We will burn those hideous machines of death in a bonfire at McEuen Park (provided the park is still there). During the bonfire, I want participants to think of the pain and suffering mice endure at the snapping of the trap. I understand that some mice have chewed off their own leg to escape the trap, often taking the asiago or camembert with them.

On day three of this vigil we shall hang Walt Disney in effigy for his shameless exploitation of mice in the name of Mickey and Minnie.
