Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
CODE: Yes, it affects everyone
All residents of Kootenai County: Take notice. The new ULUC (unified land use codes) being proposed by our county commissioners is truly an exercise in futility!
MUSLIM: Where's the outrage?
I was appalled by the senseless murder of a soldier on a London street, as many were I’m sure. Then we were subjected to a murderer with blood on his hands, cleaver in hand stating “an eye for an eye and a tooth fo…

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 889 wishes to thank Boy Scout Troop No. 3 and Cub Scout Pack No. 3; their leaders, families and friends for helping place flags on the graves of Veterans at Forest Cemetery and Rivervi…
IRS: Evolution of a real mess
When the IRS scandal broke, I was wondering what the fuss was all about since Section 501(c)(4) is a tax exempt section for Social Welfare groups and the Tea Party is clearly a political group.
WRITE: Wrong middle initial

COUNCIL: This is just the beginning
Once again our elected officials have engaged us in an argument that is put forth to mask the true issue.
SHERIFF: Not a good promoter
For several years the Coeur d’Alene City Council, Chamber of Commerce and several other groups in Kootenai County have tried to convey the message to the rest of the world that Coeur d’Alene and our area is a good …
NRA: No time to be silent
Just as the Muslim communities and leadership should speak out against the individual and group terrorists creating havoc and horror in the U.S. and around the world, so should the NRA — yes, that NRA, speak out ag…
