ROADS: Potholes in paradise
Twenty years ago when I moved here, the roads and state highways were in good shape, paved regularly. Now all you see is Idaho road Band-aids. Seems they were done with a bid process and by private concerns.
MINING: Special section applause
I really enjoyed the Northwest Mining and Timber special section inserted Tuesday in The Press. As I was raised in Kellogg during the ‘50s, it brought back a lot of memories.
RACISM: Any kind is unacceptable
Is Black Racism any better than White Racism? If George Zimmerman had been Black and Trayvon Martin had been White; would the Blacks be marching in the streets demanding Justice? Would Obama say that the White Yout…

MAIL: Signed, sealed undelivered

Regarding Sunday’s editorial, finally a strong voice of factual reason is heard in the land.
ULUC: Buffer against idiocy
I could not disagree more with the anti ULUC crowd. For crying out loud, how can any thinking person with the greater good at heart actually suggest that turning a swelling population loose and hoping for the best …
HOUSE: Just say no to S744
Once again the U.S. Senate has passed legislation harmful to American citizens and consistent with Obama’s desire to “fundamentally transform” America. The legislation, S744, overwhelms our country over the next de…
